The Latest from Scania Joins our Fleet

The 650's are the latest Euro 6 diesels from Scania chosen by Mainstream for the improved productivity, reduced emissions, better road safety and cost efficiency.

We saw Scania's efforts to drive class-leading sustainability throughout their product range as important factors when choosing our vehicles. The R650 consumes around 5% less fuel and delivers a staggering 80% less emissions of nitrogen oxides and particulates than the Euro 5 standards.

Each of these new Scanias is also fitted with the latest in driver safety monitoring systems ensuring that we maintain the highest levels of safety as we share New Zealand’s roads with the public.

We've paired these new trucks with bodies and trailers configured to maximise capacity and improve the handling of freight with fully adjustable mezzanine floors. This includes new innovative and unique triple decks to the trailers to cater to a broader spectrum of freight requirements for long-distance travel.

Each unit proudly wears our distinctive green and yellow branding and are sure to be seen up and down the country's roads as they support our customers freight requirements.

As is tradition with Mainstream, all of our long-distance trucks are proudly named before they are sent on their first journey. We'd like your help to name one of these big green beauties!
